SPORTX Acquires Al-Kharj Football Academy to Expand Sports Investment in Saudi Arabia

SPORTX, a T&S Group subsidiary specializing in sports investment, has officially acquired Al-Kharj Football Academy under the patronage of the Ministry of Investment. The move aims to develop football talent and strengthen the sports ecosystem in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and upcoming major sporting events.

SPORTX, a company specializing in sports investment and a subsidiary of T&S Group, announced—under the patronage of Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Dubaikhi, Assistant Minister of Investment—its official acquisition of Al-Kharj Football Academy, as part of its strategy to expand within the sports sector and to develop the ecosystem for discovering and nurturing football talent in the Kingdom.

The acquisition agreement was signed in Riyadh at the headquarters of the Ministry of Investment. SPORTX was represented at the signing by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Majed Al-Raqas, while Al-Kharj Football Academy was represented by its Co-Founder, Mr. Mohammed Al-Ammoush.

Commenting on the acquisition, SPORTX CEO Mr. Majed Al-Raqas stated that this step aligns with SPORTX’s strategy to support Saudi Vision 2030 by investing in sports talent development, enhancing training quality, and enabling players to reach competitive levels in preparation for future milestones, including the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

He added that the acquisition aims to build a sustainable investment model in football, expand gradually across the Kingdom, and enhance opportunities in sports investment, starting from Al-Kharj Governorate.

Al-Kharj Football Academy, established in 2014, is one of the specialized football training academies and among the first to establish a dedicated women’s football program. It provides structured training programs focused on technical and physical development, serving hundreds of players across different age groups.

SPORTX is a subsidiary of T&S Group, a Saudi group founded in 2009 and headquartered in Riyadh at King Abdullah Financial District. The group has over 15 years of experience in institutional development and has recently expanded into sports investment as part of national strategic priorities.
